The example shown to the left has detection characteristics as per a standard 5011 unit, but is assembled with a stainless steel case and fittings. This form is often required by the food processing industry.
 
Sensor units can also be provided with detection characteristics 'tailored' to specific application hazards. This includes sensing spectra which encompass both 'black body' and 'carbon flame' IR emissions.
