The interface module can be employed in conjunction with 'stand alone' sensors such as the 5410. The DIN rail mounting module connects to the sensor by means of a two core cable. Signaling of fire and fault conditions is by means of current load changes, in a similar manner to conventional smoke detectors on fire alarm trigger circuits.

The module provides relay change over contact outputs of fire (two sets), and fault (one set) conditions. The unit is fitted with LED status indication and test / reset control push-buttons. These functions are replicated as input/output conections for signaling to a display fascia (as specified by user system designers and/or OEMs).

The DIN rail module may be integrated into control equipment providing volt free contacts whilst maintaining a minimum (two cores) of cabling to the sensor. Similarily OEMs may readily formulate multi-channel alarm panels.
